Welcome to the third term at GILA!

This is the make-or-break term here at GILA. We've been working hard and learning hard, and all that effort and practice is paying off. Students are showing progress and growth in their reading and writing ability. It's going to be a great term.
The freshmen English classes are going to read two classic works, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The seniors are focusing on sharpening their research skills by studing the history and situation described in Solzhenitsyn's Nobel Prize winning novel One Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich. They're also going to compose resumes and cover letters in preparation for life after school.
As always, my door is always open. Please feel free to call or write at any time.
