Isa talked about growing Patty Pan squash from the first moment we arrived. The one in the photo was grown in 2004, when the garden in the back yard was just a few yards of turned-over dirt and tall unkempt grass. Unfortunately, the quality of Patty Pan squash in subsequent years has been uneven. Some years we get a few, and some years we get big leaves. This is a challenge for our future, no doubt.

Summer 2011

The rain and coolness really ruined this year's crop. Maybe next year.
