Peppers do surprisingly well in the greenhouse. They grow with vigor and most varieties produce good-sized peppers. The only thing that trips them up are the aphids, and we think we've solved this problem by setting out bright yellow pieces of paper covered with sticky glue which the aphids fly to preferentially instead of looking for the plants. A recent issue of National Geographic had an article about animal migration which mentioned in passing that aphids regularly migrate toward yellow-colored leaves, so I might be on to something here. In any case, everything has worked well except for the supermarket pepper, the California Wonder.
