 Chinese cabbage

I've tried Chinese cabbage for several years, but with only limited success. First, I really haven't taken good care of this veggie - I've let every seed grow and let them clump up together. In a climate like Oregon, I could have little meadows of pak choi. Not here, though. I also appreciate the idea I got from the University of Alaska about putting a shadow cloth above the plants to slow down growth. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
