Sunflower (Helianthus annus)
These are great plants, but my observation is that I'm racing the frost to get the flowers on the plants. My sunflowers did better downtown on the gravel pad than they do up here in the woods, too. If I try them again it'll be in the sunniest, hottest part of the yard.
