Day lily Hemerocallis
I've always heard that day lilies do well up here. I think these are a form of day lily - I recall them coming in a bag of bulbs from one of the Big Box Stores with the word "hemerocallis," which is the genus name. It grew well on small slender green stems in a pot. I'd try this again as a perennial if I could find the bulbs at the right time for Alaska.
