JoJo's baptism
JoJo was baptised on 19 June 2004 at the Catholic church in Galena. His godparents are Tim Bedony and Karen Lehmkuhl, a couple who atttend the church. Afterwards, we planted a tree in the front of the church and watered it with his baptismal water.

Here are some photos of JoJo playing the role of the shepherd in the church pageant at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church here in Galena. We also have the usual doting photos of JoJo during the elementary school Christmas pageant, and since we are a fair distance from the oppressive apparatchik at the ACLU, we actually use the word "Christmas." Are we not intolerant slobs or what?

Starting with a herd of Cape buffalo, including a pasture filled with African grazers. Row one: A herd of more than 100 Cape buffalo came across the road as we were driving out of Satara camp early in the morning. Row two: The Cape buffalo looks a little evil with the reflection of the flash in its eyes; the southernmost baobab on Earth. Row three: Some zebras crossing the road; a crested barbet. Row four: A lion hiding in the tall grass; hippos gathered in the water. Row five: At the waterhole. Row six: Crocs at the side of the pond.
