JoJo's baptism
JoJo was baptised on 19 June 2004 at the Catholic church in Galena. His godparents are Tim Bedony and Karen Lehmkuhl, a couple who atttend the church. Afterwards, we planted a tree in the front of the church and watered it with his baptismal water.

Here are some photos of JoJo playing the role of the shepherd in the church pageant at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church here in Galena. We also have the usual doting photos of JoJo during the elementary school Christmas pageant, and since we are a fair distance from the oppressive apparatchik at the ACLU, we actually use the word "Christmas." Are we not intolerant slobs or what?

Baby JoJo
These are a series of photos taken by Ron Dalby on 4 April 1998, when JoJo was about 3 weeks old and JoJo's parents were more svelte. Grandma and Grandpa were also there to be with JoJo.

Photos taken late summer 2001

We finally had a digital camera again available for us to use when we arrived in Galena in August 2001! I immediately started taking lots of pictures again, of course focusing on my beautiful family. Top row: JoJo was out on the baseball field at PERS, smashing mushrooms, when he stopped to take a look at Daddy; Isabella looking for mushrooms. Second row: JoJo hangs out with the Baumgartners as they and the rest of the community were gathered at the dike to watch the demolition of the old Air Force hangar; I've always liked this photo. I took it of Isa at the twin ponds located on the way to the dump. We had just been watching some swans out there on the lake. JoJo was asleep in the back. Third row: This is a great photo of JoJo sitting in George and Yulia's car during the implosion of the Air Force hangar.
